Abhyanga ("oil massage") is a form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the body with Dosha-specific warm herb-infused oil. The oil is commonly pre-mixed with herbs for specific conditions. Traditionally, the base oil used is sesame. Abhyanga can be done as part of the steps of Panchakarma therapy, especially in the first stage: Purva Karma (pre-treatment), or as its own therapy.

Chinese Tuina Yin Massage
A hands-on body treatment that uses Chinese Daoist principles in an effort to bring the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll, press, and rub the areas between each of the joints, known as the eight gates, to attempt to open the body's defensive chi (Wei Qi) and get the energy moving in the meridians and the muscles. Techniques may be gentle or quite firm. The name comes from two of the actions: tui means "to push" and na means "to lift and squeeze." Other strokes include shaking and tapotement. The practitioner can then use range of motion, traction, with the stimulation of acupressure points. These techniques are claimed to aid in the treatment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions. As with many other traditional Chinese practices, there are different schools which vary in their approach to the discipline. In Traditional Korean Medicine it is known as Chuna, and it is related also to Japanese massage or anma and its derivative shiatsu, as well as sekkotsu. The main therapeutic goal of Tuina massage is to remove the energetic blocks that are causing Qi stagnation.
** Yin style is more gentle, passive, and meditative. This technique is effective in reducing stress, encouraging relaxation, and deepening sleep.
** Yang style is more active, dynamic, and physical, creating more intense sensations by stimulating deep blockages and knots. This method uses deep pressure.
** Creates harmony in the yin & yang of the body by getting rid of blockages and disturbances that manifest as illness, disease, and emotional issues. This combines Tuina & Hot Stones for the ultimate combination.
Anma Therapy Massage
Anma is a general form of Chinese Qigong massage that can be broken into two words: “An,” meaning to press, and “Ma,” meaning to rub, which describes the basic technique of kneading the skin. Anma is also referred to as healing with hands, as the hands calm the body and spread peace. Anma massage involves stroking, kneading, pressure, vibration, percussion, and squeezing techniques. Variations of Anma have led to the emergence of related massage therapies such as Shiatsu, Tuina, and Swedish massage.
